In my version The Edge picks the Bm - F#m - G - A by hitting the bass note and then the next three strings from bottom to top. The tab looks like this:

For the chorus and other bits which require strumming I personally play G and A open, but then I've always been a fan of open chords. I'm frequently wrong however.
