It would have been a

                                                                terrible dream

so many steps

decended at breakneck speed       

                                                                 until I fell

headfirst

I could not have gone back to sleep

If it had been a nightmare

                                                                    But

since it actually happened

and

you were the one I was racing after

It is instead

                                                             the happiest moment of my life
