Not really one geographical area, but the collection of Hi-tech areas and industrial parks in central Israel, spanning from Ramat Gan’s financial area in the south.
to Haifa’s industrial zone in the north and pushing off east towards Petach Tikva / Rosh Ha’ayin.
The main area is the Hertzelia Pituach area, which is almost all dedicated to the Hi-Tech industry and is geographically the center of “The Wadi”
The “Wadi” includes such well-known native companies as ECI Telecom, Checkpoint, Mirabilis, Chromatis, Comverse, Amdocs and Tower Semiconductor as well as many R&D branches of corporations such as Intel, Microsoft, Motorola, IBM, Qualcomm and Sun.
