Not the most universally useful thing, but: having the ability to jump to individual write-ups from the top of a given node, either by author or type would be cool. Eg, clicking on, say, from July 2, 2000 to July 5, 2000 would allow one to follow a single user's diary trajectory more easily if they linked their daylogging days without linking to their own specific w/u. Or to read all of that day's dreams.
