So where've I been? Around. Lurking. Writing & editing elsewhere.
And why haven't I been noding? Frankly, the projects with which I associated myself that I held most dear either were terminated or quickly fell out of favor. I began, after a while, to feel that my contributions to the nodegel were underappreciated. I became frustrated with the constant struggle for the soul of E2; competing interests trying to pour the site into a dozen different molds, often with inconsistent editorial policies and rhetoric. Frankly, I feel my writing/editing abilities and energies are best devoted elsewhere.
Plus, this site is interminably fucking slow.
How "gone" will I be? I'll be around, lurking. I'll try to keep my factnodes up-to-date. I am cancelling all of my usergroup memberships. I'll be clearing out my message inbox, but will check it from time-to-time. I'll be porting a few of my nodes to Wikipedia, but I don't anticipate deleting anything.
