A piece of hardware for reading from
compactflash and
microdrive cards.
It is included with some newer
Lexar Media CF cards, and is availible seperately from
<http://www.digitalfilm.com>.
The device itself is nothing more than a four foot cable, with a USB plug on one end and a translucent plastic bit on the other end. A CF card can be inserted into the plastic bit. The CF card must be "USB Enabled," which (as far as I can discern) means that it must have a special software dongle of some sort to make it work. It works pretty well so far, and transfers pictures about as fast as you'd expect.
