This is a very cool attempt at creating a Athlon-centric distribution of Linux, with the hopes of using optimized Athlon code. The center of the project is AthlonGCC, or AthlonPGCC. The entire thing lends itself almost perfectly to Linux 2.4, which now has processor specification. Sadly, there are currently no complete Athlon distributions of Linux, but there is a large archive of user compiled packages, and a couple linux companies (Debian and Slackware are the two I know of) have promised things for the future. For any real speed nut running AMD chips, AthlonGCC is a must have. Project headquarters is at http://www.athlonlinux.org/.
