Pa`le*ech`i*noi"de*a (?), n. pl. [NL. See Paleo-, and Echinoidea.] Zool.

An extinct order of sea urchins found in the Paleozoic rocks. They had more than twenty vertical rows of plates. Called also Palaeechini.
