A
wedding that is impossible to avoid having to attend, for any combination of the following:
- Immediate family
- It's really close
- When you RSVPed your month was clear, and the fact that all of a sudden you have three to go to in three weeks doesn't change anything
- You're a 'group representative'
- It's yours
...or any other immediate reason. Essentially, this term is typically used when the attending (yes the verb) of said wedding will cause some sort of suffering, even if (in the abstract) the invitee really wants to go to this one.
