the smell game is one of those pointless but mildly entertaining games you play on road trips or at the end of the night or whenever and wherever you're pretty much bored.. there's no real goal or order to it, though it would be nice to see someone impose one, maybe coupled with a nice snappy game board and coordinating game pieces.

it's basically an exchange between >one persons of observations about the other player(s). often, it devolves into a trading of insults and personal insights. example:

jim bob - sue bob smells like warm oranges on a blanket under a tree in autumn.

sue bob - jim bob smells like the lyrics to a right said fred song.

billy bob - jim bob smells like a pound of water-damaged porno magazines.

sue bob - billy bob smells like twisting a mustache.

billy bob - sue bob smells like the kleenex box in the back of a cadillac.

jim bob - billy bob smells like the back of a rickety ambulance.

..and so on.

it's a good game. it encourages creativity and randomness. it doesn't have to be applied to people in the room. it can be applied to celebrities or stangers, or to inanimate objects.
