(Say "Nu-kee-tay")

Japanese name for technique commonly found in several styles of karate and some kung fu styles. Loosely translates to "spear-hand". To perform, hold hand open and press fingers together while tensing all of the muscles in the four main digits. The hand should form a spearlike shape. To use, simply thrust the hand into the target, as in the common martial arts punch. Usually useful for soft targets full of nerve bundles, such as the throat or just under the shoulder right behind the armpit. Also useful against abdominal targets if the opponent is caught off guard.
