| Francophone actually refers to anyone who comes from a French-influenced culture, i.e., someone from Haiti, or Cote d'Ivoire, or Vietnam, or Louisiana, or any other French colonies (or former colonies.) Also, in a broader sense, it refers to someone who is a student of French culture. (Not to be confused with a francophile, which is someone who loves French culture.) |
