A
suntan that is only on body parts exposed when wearing
jeans and a short-sleeved shirt. These include
arms,
face, and
neck. Note that the tan stops at the shirtsleeve, and the upper arm remains untanned. Also note that the legs remain untanned, as most
farmers do not wear
short pants.
I know some people who are proud of their farmer tan, and others who spend time tanning the rest of their body to reduce the effect.
