Any colors that look like dirt: brown, sepia, umber, sienna, tan, black, grey, ochre, etc. Also called "neutrals", it's telling that some of the above colors are named for places. Has little to do with the actual color of the Earth from Space, which tends to have the palette of a Maxfield Parrish painting, plus white.
