A disease which wreaked havoc on the united states during the 70's. Almost claimed the life of John Travolta; his battle with it was documented in the movie Saturday Night Fever, which made him a star.

Thankfully, careful vaccinations and widespread breeding of yuppies, who are immune to boogie fever, have all but eliminated this disease. However, occasional outbreaks have been reported in recent years - smack therapy seems to be effective on these unfortunate souls.

Symptoms: unnatural lust for polyester and gold chains, enjoying the music of the Bee-Gees, strange twitching similiar to (but more pronounced than) St. Vitus Dance, especially while listening to aforementioned music.
