As opposed to solipsism, altruistic solipsism is the belief that even though the world only exists for you, you should do good in it, since maybe you're being judged by whatever controls the universe. Maybe life is a game of Sim City or some other Maxis game. So, it's the belevolent despot approach to solipsism.
