An expletive commonly found in Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. For example:

  • Zark off!
  • What the zarking photon was that?
  • You had zarking well better have a zarking good reason for doing such a zarkingly stupid thing, monkey man!

Incidently, it is derived from the name of the Almighty Zarquon. He's pretty much the head prophet of the galaxy. Kind of like an interplanetary Jesus.
