Henry VIII (1491-1547) was not, as common lore may say, capricious in the killing of his wives. His six wives were:

Catherine of Aragon
Anne Boleyn
Jane Seymour
Anne of Cleves
Catherine Howard
Catherine Parr

This is also the name of an album of excellent early synthesizer music played by Rick Wakeman. Wakeman was (in his other job) keyboardist for the group Yes, of Tales from Topographic Oceans and Close To The Edge (Thanks Grzcyrgba!) fame.

To remember the fates of the various wives, just remember this handy little catchphrase:

Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived.
