The present day name of an ancient board game called Hnefatafl. This game probably influenced chess. Unfortunately, as the popularity of chess grew, Hnefatafl became very rare. Today you can buy game boards of the game as scientists believe it was played by the Vikings in the Dark Ages, hence the name "The Viking Game".
