The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo were a performance group at Cal Arts during the late 1970's. As well as acting, they sang songs during their shows, and all the music was written by a certain redhead named Danny Elfman. When the Knights broke up, Danny contiuned to make music with some of his friends from the group. The result was the 80's cult band Oingo Boingo.
