It sits there, a black maw at the bottom of the stainless steel sink. It calls to me. "I hunger" it whispers in my brain. I look around for something to feed my garbage disposal. Half of a four-layer chocolate cake left from Ivan256's birthday sits on the counter, glistening under the plastic wrap. Gleefully, I rip the wrap off and toss it over my shoulder. I flip on the switch and the gentle grinding lets me know it's ready. The water from the faucet above runs between its rubber lips and it awaits my deposit. I upend the plate and the cake gets sucked in, ground up, and swallowed in less than 3 seconds. The aftermath was simply a hint of chocolate wafting up to my nose.

I grin evilly, and look around the kitchen for more organic material... my garbage disposal looks hungry.
