We all know that there's a longstanding trend: some men to tend treat women as sex symbols. From some angles, being treated as a sex symbol sounds like a good gig, but it's not appealing as one's only role in life.

There is a correspondingly odious phenomenon: some women regard men exclusively as success symbols. Many scary conversations overheard in the ladies' room revolve around this theme.

Size of wallet matters.

Ask Donald Trump, the most well known example of a success symbol.

Men look at him and ask "What's he have that I don't?" which is the same question women ask when they hear men talking about young women with vacant stares and cosmetic bodies.
