The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists or SCP is a British Trades Union with a total of some 8,100 members; it is the largest independent professional body in the United Kingdom representing State Registered chiropodists and podiatrists,

Formed in 1945 as the Society of Chiropodists it changed its name in 1993 to the the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. There is actually no difference between a chiropodist and a podiatrist; the Americans started using the terms podiatrist and podiatric medicine and the rest of the world has gradually caught on.
