A documentary film by
Paul Devlin which has created a minor rumbling controversy in the
Slam Family over whether the New York team
violated the
rules about
authorship and group piece placement.
This film focused on the 1996
National Poetry Slam, closely following the teams from
New York,
Providence and
Vancouver. Of course,
Saul Williams was
the star. Saul Williams has since left the
Slam Family to pursue all the goodies he got out of being a
champ and being in
Slam.
