The Rim Shot Monkey is a necessary accessory for any apartment in which the residents deem themselves comedians, providing the ubiquitous "Duh dun CHING!", usually followed by a short squak from said monkey. Usually unappreciated by parents and significant others, the RSM will provide background foley to your daily life, as well as acoustic filler for parties. Appropriate names should approximate "Zimbo". Monkey should be scolded when giving a Rim Shot to comments that aren't funny, as per the following example:

"I had roast beef for lunch today..."
Duh dun CHING!
"Bad Monkey! That wasn't funny!"
"Ehrrrrr...."
