One of the most frustrating things about growing up in Northern Ireland.

Picture this, you spend weeks in driving lessons, practicing with your father in the car, go through the nerves of sitting the driving test then manage to pass.

Now you have 1 year of having to drive around with a bright orange R in the window of your car, and only being able to go half the maximum speed limit, 45 mph. Even your license is stamped with "provisional" so if you're stopped and don't have your R plates up the period can be extended.

Still having a card did mean I could take girls out ...
