According to the alt.gothic newsgroup this is the universal goth pickup line. It may have inspired or been inspired by "Nice shoes, wanna fuck?"

The idea behind the phrase is that people waste too much time on trying to get into bed with someone, and that it would just be easier to ask a simple yes or no question and get it over with..
