Great
Seattle grunge band formed in
1988, named after a
Russ Meyer film. Unfortunately, they never had the level of success of contemporaries
Nirvana and
Pearl Jam.
Generally made up of bassist Matt Lukin (formerly of the Melvins) who left recently, guitarist Steve Turner (formerly of Green River), drummer Dan Peters, and singer/guitarist Mark Arm (also formerly of Green River). They've released:
- Superfuzz Bigmuff (originally an EP, later rereleased with songs from early singles added on, such as their first single "Touch Me I'm Sick") -- 1988
- Mudhoney -- 1989
- Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge -- 1991
- Piece of Cake -- 1992
- Five Dollar Bob's Mock Cooter Stew -- 1993
- My Brother the Cow -- 1995
- Tomorrow Hit Today -- 1998
- March to Fuzz (a "best of" and rarities compilation)-- 2000
The remaining three guys are taking a break and working with side projects now, but there's no sign of a complete breakup.
