A girl group of the 1970s, discovered by Barry White, who became their manager and produced their biggest hit, "Walking in the Rain with the One I Love", a lost classic of the era, since girl groups were no longer as big a force in the general pop charts. The song included a cameo from The Maestro himself, probably the first recorded appearance of That Voice.

Unable to get out of their original record-label contract, White embarked on a solo career, launching his legend; there was briefly a time where Barry-as-LU recorded for one label, while he himself was on another, as both Barry White and as the Love Unlimited Orchestra; LU singer Glodean James later became Mrs. Maestro.
