To support the release of this record, Gospel Music is touring the east coast NOW—meaning that they
will be in New York next weekend for the CMJ festival. Dates are as follows:
October 19 (2:30 p.m.) — Cake Shop, NYC (Lower
Eastside)
October 20 (4:15 p.m.) — Shade Bar, NYC (Soho)
October 21 (8:30 p.m.) — Lit Lounge, NYC (East Village)
Continuation of tour is possible.
BUT WAIT, WTF DOES THIS SHIT SOUND LIKE? ARE THEY AS CRAPPY AS THIS WRITEUP???
Sounds nothing like this node, I assure you. Think jangly feel-good pop music uprooted from a land largely controlled by Baptists. The lead singer is bassist for Black Kids if that rings a bell. Check out their videos on their website listed above. Currently they have two vids—one for This Town Doesn't have enough bars for both of us and one for Automobile (not on this LP). Automobile is off the EP Duettes and features Traceyanne Campbell from Camera Obscura, which means it sounds good as gold.
