Lamb's second album. If their debut was a collection of singles, gathered over a long time, this one is a coherent listening experience with a number of common themes, both in lyrics and instrumentation. The double bass is still present, and Louise Rhodes' unmistakable vocals tie jumpy basslines and breakbeats crackling with unreleased energy together. Since their debut album, Lamb has moved away from the Kraftwerky, dry beats and phrasing of the melodies and added - for lack of a better word - groove.
Electronica for your living room rather than the dance floor.
