The Encyclopedia of Arda (http://www.glyphweb.com/arda/) is an online reference site for Arda, the world J. R. R. Tolkien created in The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, and several other works. With a goal of cataloguing everything in Arda, this site showcases an alphabetical listing of persons, places, things, and ideas, as well as a prominent hard-link system that is very much along the lines of Everything2.
The entries of the Encyclopedia are heavily researched and contain everything from statistics to descriptions; they are undergoing endless growth, expansion, and improvement. One might surmise that their writers could very well be transplanted noders. In fact, I am surprised that the two sites aren’t connected or integrated with one another in some way, as so many on E2 are also Tolkien fans.
