The "democratic fallacy" is the delusion that since Richard P. Feynman and I have the same rights under the law, my opinion about physics is worth as much as his. Well, it ain't. When somebody who knows nothing about a subject says, "Well, I think . . .", the appropriate and polite response is, "No, you don't."
