Argumentum ad Populum (Latin)
Refers to a fallacy of logic in argument, specifically one of the Fallacies of Relevance. The debater using ad Populum uses an appeal to popularity.
Example:
"Most computer users use Windows, and you should too!"
Compare ad hominem, ad ignoratiam, ad misericordiam, ad bacculum, ad vericundiam.
