The Bolder Boulder is a
10-kilometer race held
on
Memorial Day in
Boulder,
Colorado.
It is one of the ten most popular races in the world, with
40524
finishers in the year 2000. The race attracts
a field of
elite professional runners and wheelchair racers.
The race starts in northeast Boulder, winds through
several neighborhoods and finishes with a steep hill before
entering the University of Colorado football stadium,
where runners are greeted by the cheers of thousands of
spectators.
