Military-organized and operated school in the novel Ender's Game. The job of the Battle School was to identify successful outer-space soldiers beginning at the age of six, and to train them to fight the buggers before the buggers could wipe out humanity. The intention was to create soldiers -- and more specifically, a general -- out of children while they were young, energetic, morally unestablished, and unable to understand the full consequences of true war. In Ender Wiggin, they were finally successful.
