Core. It's a pun. See?"
-Paul McCartney
Apple Corps was created in 1968 when the Beatles
were told that 40 million dollars in taxes
were going to be taken away from them unless
they used this money for buisness...
And Apple Corps was born.
Apple was more than a record company when it was initially created. It included a book and movie division, an electronics area, and even a school
("For Kids age Two to Forty!!) that was never actually created...
Eventually, the other Apple divisions never worked out,
and we have what exsists today: Apple Records, Inc.
Even though the only artists on the label
are Badfinger, James Taylor and The Beatles,
it continues to strive, in spite of going bankrupt a few times....
In 2000, Apple Books released The Beatles Anthology
and continues to work soley off of that...
