A rational number which approximates pi to 1/100th.

(22/7)-pi = 0.00126448...

22/7 isn't a particularly good approximation: only about 99.96% accurate. A much better approximation is 355/113 which is 99.999992% accurate, and is very easy to remember (113355).

I think this was discovered by some Chinese dudes many centuries ago. I forget their names, though.
