The 1759 Society is comprised of regular
Guinness drinkers who love everything Guinness. Named for the year
Arthur Guinness started his
beer-making, this international society is known to travel around to different
bars and
pubs to promote Guinness (since it
refreshes your spirit).
I joined after I met some other members at a bar in Baltimore, MD and they gave me much beer to drink for free. It turns out when you join you get a great polo shirt, a keychain, and a certificate. But most people join because you can then talk to other members on the net about your favorite experiences... etc.
