Amercian
author, currently teaching at
Santa Clara University. Able to shift genres very well: from a early 20th century
postulant who bears the
stigmata, to a murder mystery in
Mexico, to bank robberies in the Old West. All of his novels are quite good. Hansen wrote a screenplay for
Mariette In Ecstasy; it was made into a movie directed by
John Bailey and starring
Rutger Hauer in 1996, but was never released.
