Mex says that colitas is Spanish for "butt" or "tail". Spanish slang for
marijuana buds is translated as "foxtails". Colitas is a
plural diminutive form, meaning the smell of buds. Colitas was first brought to my attention because of its mention in the
Eagles' song,
Hotel California.
Colitas is also mentioned in a White House release on drug information.
