The
Liquor Control Bureau of Ontario
The LCBO controls the amount of
tax that is applied to booze that
Ontarians buy. It also issues
licenses to
vend alcohol to bars,
restaurants and clubs in
Ontario. The LCBO has the control to suspend or
repeal these licenses if they are abused or
misused.
The LCBO is also one of the few
agencies owned and operated by the
Government of Ontario that actually turns over a
profit.
