I know that Ambergris is the full name, but usually it is sold under the name "OIL of AMBER." Even Webster 1913 agrees--take a look at definition number 3...

The scent of amber is indescribably sexy, exotic in a way that belies its common origins, if you can really consider whale excretions common.

My wife wears it on occasion, and I love to sweep back her hair from her neck and draw in deeply the scent of her and the amber. I am usually forced to kiss her neck profusely, and leave her with a light bite to her earlobe.

Of course, that's just me. Individual results may vary.


A note:
I rank the smell of amber above patchouli, which I enjoy also. Patchouli, however, has unfortunate 'stinky hippies' connotations.
