Do you really want to send bitter_engineer a message saying you like their work?
An ideal voltmeter should have infinite impedance between its probes. Old voltmeters have anywhere from 100Kohms to 1Megohm of resistance, which can get you in trouble if you aren't aware of it. Newer models can be a Gigohm and above.
