A computer game publisher founded in 1994 by
Michael Nash in partnership with
HBO and
Time Warner. Inscape specialized in
adventure games that were often
eccentric,
macabre and
bizarre. Notable releases included the award-winning
Bad Day On The Midway and the
Edgar Allan Poe-inspired
The Dark Eye. Inscape's games met with only modest commercial success, and in 1997 the company was acquired by
Ignite (then known as
Graphix Zone).
