Analytic logic is the type of logic involved in breaking concepts down to their component parts, sort of like investigating the Forest by discerning the various different types of Trees in it and then examining each type of Tree individually. A person is using analytic logic when she or he asks the question about topic ~x~: "What are the different subtypes of ~x~?" Leftbrain thinking involves analytic logic. The other type of logic is associative logic.
