A staple french sauce which consists of mayonnaise, capers, gherkins, and anchovies. Goes well with chilled foods, great with cold shrimp and fried fish.

Mix all ingredients together and enjoy! This is by no means a definative recipe, I don't think there is such a thing, so feel free to experiment.

Otherwise known as Tartare Sauce (well in the UK it is anyway). Occasionally has garlic in, sometimes paprika or even lemon juice. Depends on the recipe you're using. really
