A form of Democracy where the policy is whatever the majority of people vote for. That is, if 51% of the populace votes for a given candidate or policy, it is applied to 100% of the population. This results in 49% of the voters potentially going without representation. This is called Tyranny of the Majority.

When someone says that Democracy doesn't work or that voting doesn't work, chances are they specifically have a beef with Majoritarian Democracy. Of course, until someone builds a functional Unanimous Democracy or True Democracy it seems that we're stuck. Got any ideas?
