A term used to describe the tools used in the Passion of Christ or the Crucifixion as depicted in Western Art. The main one being the True Cross, others are nails, lance, sponge, column, crown of thorns, chalice, the purse of Judas,and a wash basin while these are literal examples they need not be, such as a rooster representing Peter's denial.
