Battleboats Plus is a variant of the game of
Battleboats (found on
ItsYourTurn.com), which in turn is identical to the familiar game of
Battleships.
The difference in the variant is that instead of only one guess per
round, each player is alloted one guess for each ship he has that has not
yet been totally sunk. Thus, at the beginning of the game, each player
begins with five guesses. If two of my ships have already been sunk,
I only get three guesses on my next turn.
The rule difference has the effect of speeding up gameplay considerably,
which is a Good Thing--regular Battleboats is excrutiatingly
slow to play when only one move is being made per day.
